The 669 m (2,195 ft) tall mountain lies next to the smaller, flat-topped Signal Hill, also known as Lion's Rump. You can reach the top on foot only on a relatively easy, scenic trek from Signal Hill. Although steep, the hike, suitable for children, doesn't present a challenge and will reward you with a picturesque picnic spot and viewpoint. Recommended hike in Cape Town. The hike is very steep and challenging but you won’t regret is when you see the view at the top. Good luck!

Coming to Cape Town and not climbing Lion's Head would be a sin. The climb is worth it with an incredible view over the city. Early sunrise or late sunset climbs are special.
