A bustling labyrinth of interesting flavors and sights, Honiara Central Market offers tourists a rare and authentic glimpse into Melanesian culture. Here you can browse through a wide range of local produce including exotic fruit, rows of gigantic, freshly caught tuna fish, and intricate arrays of the Solomon Islands' famed shell jewelry. Mostly sourced from the surrounding villages, these goods sell at very reasonable prices, and it is not customary to haggle. Bring plenty of small notes, keep one eye out for pickpockets, and bear in mind that no toilet facilities exist on site. Honiara Central Market reviews
So i rated it average mostly because of the cleanliness of the market. Apart from that, this is the best place to get good value handicrafts and clothes at affordable prices more »
This market needs better management of how it allocates space for parking and how the vendors display their wares. Its so packed and unclean as a result. more »
Good variety of local produce sold here. The fish and seafood market section could be cleaner. The market now seems too small to accommodate the number of people selling their produce. All in all, can't really complain! :)
I'm trying to find the words to describe this market without being disrespectful. Me like!
