According to wrriten sources it was founded in 1520 by Orthodox priests. It was destroyed by invaders many times during our history and always reconstructed. This place tells us a very sad story. Research it online if you are interested. It's accessible by car and parking is free.

The monastery is open. The church within the monastery is open and can be entered inside. The church is old and unusual, because there is no painted icon on the walls. The monastery building and the yard are nicely decorated and clean. I recommend that you definitely visit. There is a spring in front of the entrance, where the locals pour drinking water.
