Sukiennice (Cloth Hall)
Located in the middle of the main square, Sukiennice (Cloth Hall) is one of the city's most recognizable architectural landmarks. The Renaissance building was once the center of international clothing trade (thus its name). In the final decades of the 19th century, it was converted into an art museum and became a major cultural venue. The grand halls house one of the largest permanent exhibits of Polish art, arranged by historical period and theme. Take a self-guided tour of the upper-floor galleries to see noted works by Josef Chelmonski, Aleksander Gierymski, Jan Matejko, and Jacek Malczewski. The ground floor features a busy market where you can purchase handmade crafts and souvenirs. Work out when and for how long to visit Sukiennice (Cloth Hall) and other Krakow attractions using our handy Krakow day trip planning site.

This is a beautiful and central building that provides several nice photo-ops during the day and night. However, the market inside is nothing to write home about.

Lovely place right in the main square follow the crowds to the vanilla colour arch. Outside these several shops selling toys. But inside these markets selling Russian dolls wooden trinket boxes and these history inside with plaques dating from century’s ago. Krakow is a very historical city which I love.

Interesting mix of various styles presenting work of different artists. Overall, the museum is small. Tickets are available and can be used to enter few museum locations in Krakow. There is terrasse where you can enjoy ice cream.
