Meet some of Nairobi's most beloved residents at Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, a rescue and rehabilitation center for orphaned rhinos and elephants. Established in 1977 in honor of naturalist David Sheldrick, the nonprofit organization lies within the city's national park. Get up close to adolescent and baby elephants during bath time, and watch majestic rhinos playfully romping through their natural habitat. With the animals' welfare at its heart, the center only allows public viewing for a limited morning period, so check the website for visitor times. Outstanding visit and organization. I hope to adopt/sponsor elephants from here for as long as I live. Definitely make reservations in advance. Very limited opening hours and visitor count. Couldn't be more grateful to have had this experience - but more importantly, so grateful for the work of this trust!

Love this place. Your heart is filled with happiness whilst watching the elephants drinking milk and playing in the dirt. You can even pet the elephants and also adopt one. There is a donation fee of 1,500 per person and visiting time is only between 11am to 12pm. Do book online!!
