It is a family owned business and all the masks are hand painted. When we entered the shop there was a dog and a very friendly woman painting a mask. She speaks fluently english and answers any questions. Very beautiful shop.

You have a lot of choices if you want to buy a mask in Venice but I suggest you make the trek to this shop. I couldn't speak more highly of my experience here. The moment I stepped in I was happily greeted by one of the artists and told to take my time browsing. She also told me to feel free to take any pictures I would like and told me about this family owned and operated business. All of the masks at the shop were hand made and unique to each other. The artist was incredibly humble. She felt the need to justify the price of the masks, which was not needed due to the quality of the masks being very apparent. There were numerous masks around the shop in various states of completion. The artist busied herself on the latest creation while I made the hard choice of selecting the mask I wanted to buy. After I made my selection she wrapped up the mask very carefully so I could transport it home. She also gave me a card with her email and told me to reach out if I needed anything. I'm not sure what I would need but I absolutely will if I need to. I would recommend this shop over any other in Venice due to the quality of the masks and experience in the shop.
