Small and curious attraction in Rome which consists of a small museum about the religious order followed by a walk past 4 or 5 crypts which are stuffed with 4,700 artfully arranged bones of past friars - mostly row upon row of the same bone, but also whole dressed bodies - even some bones made into lampshades. Meant to remind you about the reality of life. Interesting if you have an hour to spare and aren't squeamish, otherwise fairly missable.

Not much can prepare you for what you will see. It's like the most morbid Halloween decorations, but it's all real. I left with a knot in my stomach. No photographs are allowed in the crypt and there a guard posted. The introductory museum adds required detailed, pause to read all the available information to get the proper context.
