This church is full of surprises, the basement takes you back to the Romans, mosaic and foundations. With the same ticket you can go up the tower, what a view, the best of Lucca. Not suitable for small children and people with physical limitations. The entrance fee was 4 euros, and not crowded. Recommended.

A beautiful event not to be missed if you are in Lucca. A tribute to Puccini and the work in the evocative setting of the San Giovanni church. 1 hour starting at 7.15pm every evening. This year free entry for Italian citizens and residents. Not to be missed.
