Sitting on the waterfront of Lake Pichola, Bagore Ki Haveli Museum is a traditional, 18th-century townhouse built by Amar Chand Badwa, the former prime minister of Mewar. Today, this restored mansion houses various collections of costumes and modern art, exhibited in many rooms adorned with intricate mirror work. Among the private quarters of the royal ladies, look for the exceptional colored glass mosaics depicting two peacocks, and the queen's chamber that boasts examples of Mewar wall-painting. In the evening, you can enjoy hour-long shows of traditional Rajasthan music and dance in the atmospheric setting of the mansion's courtyard. • Dharohar folk dance is the main attraction here. Happens between 7-8 pm everyday. We booked tickets online in advance for here. Enjoyed the show a lot. Must visit if you are in Udaipur.

  • This is a wonderful place with rich history. One can easily buy tickets upon visiting, you need to carry cash though as online payment is not accepted. There is only one guide to show you this place and guide is highly recommended as you would simply be roaming around the place without one. Guide was knowledgeable and told us about the nuances behind the architecture, geography, paintings and rituals. A must visit place. It would take 45 minutes to go through the place.
