Paramekkavu Bagavathi Temple is one of the largest Bagavathi temples in Kerala located in Thrissur City. Thiruvambadi Sri Krishna Temple is one of the two rival groups participating in Thrissur Pooram, which is the biggest festival in South India and Kerala. The Paramekkavu temple devaswom have a school known as Paramekkavu Vidya Mandir at MLA road near Kutoor and one KG section near to the temple itself.

  • It is in Thrissur swaraj round. There is parking facility in the temple. Marriages are conducted in the temple by following strict covid guidelines so not everyone is allowed to witness the wedding inside the temple, but you can pray in the temple by staying in queue.
  • Beautiful, ancient temple,just opposite to the world famous Sri Vadakumnatha temple. Dress code- pants are not allowed. Men should wear mundu/dhothi. Women should wear Churidar or Sari.
