Visit the divine Ranjangaon Ganpati Temple, a Buddhist monastery with an imposing entrance gate featuring statues of Jay and Vijay (demigod gatekeepers) on the sides. Built in the ninth or 10th century, the temple--the last of eight on the Ashatavinayak Yatra pilgrim route--celebrates the deity Mahaganapati, one of eight incarnations of the Hindu god Ganesha. Admire the east-facing idol sitting in a cross-legged posture, with a broad forehead, 20 arms, and 10 trunks. You can easily access the site, which has a parking lot and charges an entrance fee. • This is one of the most visited temple in ashtvinayak as it's just beside Pune Aurangabad Highway. car parking is paid approx.₹30. you may spend approx 15-20 mins on normal day and 30-45 mins approx on weekends subject to crowd. COVID 19 precautions are followed strictly. You need to walk approx half km to take Darshan. This place have garden exit. Temple is near and clean and is crowded.#Mahaganpati #ashtvinayak
  • A very very holy place and one of the idols from Ashtavinayaka.. Its believed to be created by Lord Shiva. We started our journey from Wagholi, approx 35kms from Wagholi. Road is good, we can enjoy the ride, lots of Dhabas and petrol pumps one can see while heading there. Inside there are many small temples of Lord Shiva and other Gods also there is a beautiful garden which was there, but unfortunately it was closed at the time of visit. Cleanliness and maintainance could be better. GANPATI BAPPA MORYA...
