Government Rose Garden
Walk through the pruned bushes, blooming flower beds, and lush lawns of Government Rose Garden, a well-maintained park showcasing an extensive range of plant life. With around 3,600 varieties of roses, the garden possesses one of the largest such collections in the country, including many rare species and unusually colored hybrids. Skillfully arranged to form tunnels, adorn arches, and climb pergolas, the roses here benefit from the ideal tropical mountain climate. The garden extends across five curved terraces, with plenty of peaceful walking routes to take across the site. We could see the garden from the outside itself. The rose plants were trimmed. Probably for the flower show in May. There were no roses. So we did not buy the ticket to enter

Gorgeous place. I am not a big fan of rose but after visiting here I started admiring it. I have never imagined this much varieties of roses being in a single place. Very well maintained. And it feels so pleasant to walk around the entire place. And the birds are added perks. It's so calming and funny to watch them sitting on the roses and posing. There are shades put up around so if you feel tired you can sit and rest. But i recommend to visit the entire area no matter what. There are beautiful views here and there. Best spot to take photographs with colourful backdrop. Amazing.

I have never smelt a rose in my life, but here, I got to know, how wonderful some roses smell. The fragrance is like that of perfumes you purchase. The fragrance of Yardley, enchanteur, etc. Amazing!!!! Just 40 rupees entry fee. It is well maintained garden, with a lot of space to cover and variety of roses. HOWEVER, PLEASE VISIT IT DURING FLOWER SEASON. THEN IT WILL BE BEYOND AWESOME...
