  • Nice and Good Temple. Worth a Visit. Recommended to Visit from Tiruvarur or Tiruthurai poondi. Don't Visit from Nagapattinam as there is only one bus available (Bus No: A13) which is very less in...

  • Ettukudi Murugan Temple is located in Nagapattinam district, Tamilnad. The special feature of this Ettukudi Murugan Temple is that the idol of Murugan is presented to us according to the way we look at it. Murugan appears as a child when he is seen as a child, as a young man when seen as a youth, and as an old man when seen as an old man. There are also idols of Murugan's new nine commanders in the temple premises. Shashti Vrat and Gauri Vrat are celebrated very well in this temple. It is said to be the origin of the Ketara Gauri Vrat observed on Diwali. The head of the peacock in all Murugan  temples is seen facing the right side. However, in Ettukudi , it is seen facing the left. Prayers to Etukudi Murugan for children's fearlessness, marriage prevention, children's blessing, excellence in education. Renovation work is going on. This Temple is quite and calm. This is a temple where prayers are fulfilled.
