Enter Kanheri Caves to explore an underground world of rock-cut monuments and natural works of art. Walk through some of dozens of basaltic rock caves that lie hidden within the forest of Sanjay Gandhi National Park. As you go deeper, examine traces of Buddhist art and Indian culture, since numerous unfinished paintings decorate the moist walls. Outside you'll find plenty of picnic spots surrounded by streams and small waterfalls. • 2300-year-old meditation centre. More than 100 caves are carved out of a single mountain. Midst of a forest. You get to relax totally...without you getting noticed.

  • Unique historical site steeped in ancient Indian culture. Watch out for monkeys and make sure to bring water with you.

  • Awesome place especially to go during rainy season You can also take children they will be amazed Don't take eatables as there are lot of monkeys there and they tend to snatch food better take care of that. There are buses available from gate of national park which take you directly there or you can hire taxi also which takes 25rs per seat
  • This cave is historic and also known as pandav caves. You can see lots of halls which were used to meditate here and also waterfalls. The carving is done in the mountains. This place has proper safety due to which you and your family can easily see the cave from all the parts, after which you will definitely ask yourself "How would this have been made?" . This place has entry fees which are too nominal and affordable. So visit here asap. Plan your trip. The best place to visit is Monsoon.
