Admire the intensely colored vermilion and gold façade of Kalachakra Temple, a small, tranquil Buddhist temple in the busy McLeod Ganj market. With mesmerizing interior decorations, the temple features a contemporary Tibetan Buddhist mural on cotton applique, which depicts 722 deities and the central Kalachakra image. All of the temple's columns and walls are painted with Tibetan "thangka" symbols. Spin a prayer wheel and burn an incense stick at the temple, which has a special connection with the current Dalai Lama, who supervised the creation of its murals.     I visted for the first time in the tibet temple. It was some calm, peaceful and beautiful. It offers spendid view from some parts of it. We all hanged in their for quite a while and felt so good...  more »

    Kalachakra Temple in Dharamshala: Kalachakra Temple Located next to the famous Tsuglagkhang Temple in Macleod Ganj, Dharmshala. The Kalachakra Temple is open to the public as the center for pilgrimage. The murals and architecture of the temple represent Tibet’s rich spiritual and artistic ethnicity. Dalai Lamas use the temple as the center for public teaching. The temple is dedicated to the Kalachakra. The temple features fresco decorations of 722 deities of the mandala, Shakayamuni Buddha, and the central Kalachakra image. The walls and columns of the temple feature different traditional Tibetan Thangka paintings. There is also a book shop and small cafe within the temple complex. It is one of the most popular sacred sites in Dharamshala.

    It is situated on mall road, exterior structure looks very beautiful and a lots of shades of colors has been used to color the temple but main entrance door being locked so you are unable to see interiors so the attraction of temple which brought you here will let you down, the temple is surrounded by lots of shops.
