Ghatotkach Tree Templ, Manali

#9 of 9 in Historic Sites in Manali
Religious Site · Hidden Gem · Tourist Spot
Dedicated to a mythical warrior hero from the epic Mahabharata, Ghatotkach Tree Templ remains an unusual shrine set under the canopy of a historic cedar tree consisting of piled weapons and dozens of ram horns sticking out of the tree trunk. This rare place of worship is located less than two minutes' walk from the Pagoda-style temple devoted to the hero's mother Hidimba.
