Lookout · Tourist Spot
Admire nature's majesty and panoramic views from Lion's Point, a breezy spot 650 m (2,133 ft) above sea level. You can see dozens of small waterfalls gushing out of the steep cliffs, green conical hills, and scenic Western Ghats from there. Monkeys, cows, and bulls will keep you company at the spot, most likely asking for food. Small vendors sell tea, cold drinks, bhutta, and snacks, so all you have to bring is a good pair of shoes for the uphill climb. Plan your visit to Lion's Point and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Lonavala trip planning tool.

  • The view was beautiful... However, the sad part is that the place is totally littered with plastic waste. I recommend visiting for the view; it's worth it! Snack and tea can be bought there too!  more »

  • About 13kms from Lonavala, Lion's Point along with 2 more view points is worth visiting. The view is really mesmerizing with wind blowing at great speeds. One advise is to carry your own food and water since eatables are damn expensive. The best time to visit is monsoon or post monsoon.
  • Place is good to have good view. You can enjoy sunset from this place as well. People visit mostly in rainy season and weekends. Parking available but paid. local people are pushy to buy from their stalls. They keep following you and asking you to have some thing from their stall either have bhaji or tea or something else. They might play some trick with you not necessarily you experience such thing but we have experienced. We have order 10 tea and then started enjoying view started clicking photos and roaming around to explore more not far from the stall. But that person disappeared and did not come back and some other stall person started pushing us to buy something from their stall and telling us that, person who took our order has gone home you we can make tea for you and we denied because what if that person come with the order but that other stall guy was convincing us you rest assured he will not come. we then again order 10 cup of tea and after some time that first guy come up with 10 tea order and that second person is also ready with the 10 cup of tea. And they are like now you have to pay us for the tea something around 400 rupees. Now they are started showing aggression but it was not our fault. We have cleared that guy we will pay only for 10 tea now you decide who will take the order otherwise we don't Want anything from you. This was our first visit might be they are not scammer but still I suggests open your eye and ears. Be alert. Many of you might not encountered such situation.
