See a once-center of Buddhism, now a Hindu temple in the cave at Ekvira Devi Temple. The Goddess Ekvira is worshipped in the caves by the Koli fishermen community and the local tribes. Participate in the festivals organized here, ranging from traditional dances to folk musical festivals, all in the name of the Hindu goddess. The somewhat tiring climb is eased by ample shops for refreshment and resting areas, and rewarded with spectacular view from the temple. Be careful of the monkeys and protect your valuables. Taking photos is prohibited. Planning Lonavala trip won't be overwhelming when you use Inspirock's itinerary maker.

Nice place. Better to go with your own vehicle either car or bike. Because it cuts your climbing time to stairs. You can complete half of your route by your own vehicle. From car or bike parking it will take around 10-15minutes to reach to Temple (of course depends upon your speed and stamina). There is no tickets for Temple but if you want to visit to Karla Caves then you need to pay ₹25per adult.

From the Highway very distinct entrance to the Temple. You need vehicle to reach to Temple from the Highway Entrance. It's on high altitude so to walk up takes lots of efforts. If you are not driving expert keep your vehicle at lower parking. There are 2 more parkings near temple. One is inside and on is outside the temple entrance. Once you reach entrance, there any many steps to climb up to the temple. If you have kids or senior citizens, go slow as the stairs are not Symmetrical. It takes 15-30 min to climb up. So try not to carry heavy luggage. Once you reach the top, it's very open and full of fresh air. The temple is very divine. It's very well maintained and kept clean all the time. You can remove your footwear on the stand just outside the temple.
