Wonderful Yoga School! 200h YTTC highly recommended. Amazing place, amazing people and amazing learnings!!!

I did the 200 RYT course with the incredible Padma. This was a great course!! One of the reasons I chose PadmaKarma is that it’s the only female created and ran yoga shala in Kovalum. There aren’t many female ran RYT programs in India. It truly is whatever you choose to make it. The classroom is perfect! It’s open to the smells of nature, located in the tree canopy for a beautiful view and close enough to the water to hear the sound of the ocean. It is a very very short walk to all the shops and whatnot, so it feels somewhat disconnected from the busyness. My particular groups of classmates became very close and were wonderfully uplifting. The housing is comfortable and private. Honestly, the beach is so lovely that I didn’t spend much time in my room. The food is ayurvedic and healing. It can become very repetitive but it’s light, local and detoxing. Padma is a wealth of knowledge, she is patient and a great teacher. The curriculum she set up was wonderful and I feel very confident teaching now. Saju was endlessly helpful!! He made sure everything was done in a timely manner, helped with every little detail and was able to anticipate our needs. Arjun was the best! He provided a lovely afternoon class; he had a wonderful balance of pushing us to do more and knowing when we needed a lighter compassionate practice. Jinu will push you past anything you felt you were capable of. He is difficult but I learned a lot from him and will always be thankful for that. Thank you!! I am excited to visit again as a volunteer or for a 2 week yoga vacation :)
