Soak up the contrasting atmospheres conjured by the regality and starkness of Bada Bagh, a former garden and set of royal cenotaphs. Once lush and green as a result of a dam, today the sandstone structures rise from reddish sand, rather than verdant grass and other plant life. Started in 1743, the site hasn't been added to since Indian independence. The interesting historical garden gives the impression that the desert is trying to reclaim its sandstone, or the whole site is seemingly growing out from the ground. Located very far from the main city, it is a complex of few chattris and canopies, easily visible from the distance. A ticket of Rs 100 per person is just not worth the place~ more »

Sunsets are beautiful to watch here from. It's the cremation place of the royal family. Beautifully done. Now a tourist attraction. There's a 100/- entry ticket. Nice place for photography.

Must visit. Superb, calm and serene place. There is a ticket to enter. They also say that cameras are not allowed, but please use them freely, this is India, no one will stop you ( unless you are shooting a movie). Go during sunset. Use your drone too but be careful, there is a government installation nearby. No washrooms here. It is possible to reach this place from the city centre by auto. You
