Create an itinerary including Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind
Admire a distinctive pink sandstone facade and ornate architecture at Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind, the city's most recognizable landmark. Rising five stories above the street below, the 18th-century palace features an array of cupolas, verandas, and balconies attached to the royal residence. As you wander the hallways and rooms within, you'll be treated to the same view enjoyed for centuries by the women of the royal family. Forbidden from being seen in public, the women peaked at the outside world from behind the palace walls. Bring your camera to snap images of the royal grounds and the nearby market. Put Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Jaipur trip itinerary app.

  • This place is in the heart of old Jaipur and near to market. 10 minute is enough to visit this place and there is nothing much to visit here. You will find allot of good stuff to buy from local...

  • Inside tour is not very interesting due to hoards of people squeezing through too little space. View from top nice, but very crowded (better skip if nervous about pandemic). I liked the outside view.....  more

  • Hawa Mahal is the magnificent architecture built from red and pink sandstone and is on the edge of the City Palace. It is also known as Palace of the Winds and Palace of the Breeze. I loved the colored glass-work because when the sunlight enters, the entire chamber lit beautifully which is an awe moment. I was lucky as I got to the fountain raising and soaring to a great height. Entry fees for Indians is Rs 50 and for Foreigners it's Rs 200. For students it's 25 (just carry your ID Card) and joy the breath taking views from the top of the 12th floor of Hawa Mahal (a must for someone who is not afraid of heights). Another great architecture of Jaipur. Hawa Mahal has a no of windows so that wind can be passed through those windows. Try to visit here at the early morning. Reach within 9.30 am. Complete visiting this whole palace within 30-35 minutes. You will be witnessed of a beautiful reflection of sun thorough those colourful glasses. Don't forget to visit this spot.
  • You can a beautiful view of its rear from the street.first floor has small fountain but is in not working. There are 4 floors, all were designed for some specific purpose.also hear sunset views was awesome. From the top, you can overlook the city. The middle floors has colorful lattice windows. There was also Cafe Coffee Day at the ground floor for refreshment. Nominal fees is required to visit. Good for a short, one time visit.... Ticket price is decent 750 well Time: 10.00 Am to 5 PM Parking availability depends on public.
