Lakshmi Devi Temple, Hassan

Beautiful temple in a small village that’s located by a peaceful lake. The person taking care of the temple lives nearby and he opened the gates as well as explained the carvings inside. A small stretch of road was under construction otherwise most of the way is descent and it’s about 5km deviation from the main highway with a board directing to the place. There aren’t any hotels nearby and roads to the place is narrow

A beautiful living temple that once again is a Hoysala masterpiece in the Hassan region. The roads to this place from the highway is not great but it’s only about 20 mins. Hence its worth a visit. Narrow roads lead to the temple. No proper parking space. No entry fees. There were four deities in the sanctum sanctorum. Architecture is beautiful . At all spots on the Gopurum, the hoysala lion logo has been carved out.
