  • I am writing this review using the Patanjali eye drops for over 2 months. Now 1st question is that arises is whether it is beneficial for eyes or not? In short, I would say ….. YES AND GO FOR IT. It is worth the pain and irritation. The contents of the eye drops are surprising at first which are honey, lemon, ginger and onion juice. And one will surely try to avoid such stuff for eyes by thinking that it may cause harm to the eyes. But let me clarify that it is really useful in order to remove the eye problems as the formula has been derived from Ayurveda. The 2nd question is that if it is really helpful for eyes then why all the doctors are against it? A simple answer is MONEY. If the eye drops are actually useful in eye problems then what is the need of eye doctors which will ultimately hamper their practice and they will earn less money. And they don’t want that to happen, so they do all the negative publicity about the eye drops. Also, the Patanjali eye drops are available at Rs. 20 (price revised) while all other eye drops that the eyes specialist recommend (which is sheer water in the name of eye drops with no benefits) costs around Rs. 100 to Rs. 300. Now, this will also lead to low or no benefits to the doctors from the pharmaceutical companies in lieu of prescribing eye drops manufactured by these companies. Now, who don’t know what I am talking about so let me clarify that many doctors have a tie-up with various pharmaceutical companies which in lieu provide foreign trips, expensive mobiles and other benefits to them for prescribing their eye drops. Such practice has been banned by the Medical Council of India. But actually, it is happening till date. ( Case reference: Ranbaxy laboratories vs CIT) 3rd question is that are there any side effects of using Patanjali eye drops? So far, there are no side effects of using it but I would recommend following certain steps to make the experience even better. Use the eye drops only when you sleep for long hours. Don’t use in between of work. After putting the eye drops, don’t open the eyes but let the tears flow. After you wake up, just wash your eyes using eyecups and R.O. water (or drinking water) i.e. try to avoid tank water. Eyecups are easily available in the market for Rs. 10.Do eye exercises and eat a healthy diet to improve your eyes faster. At last, I would recommend to use it for a week and then decide yourself. After all many people are using it and found it useful. And doctors will try to provoke people against it and deprive them of such wonderful medicine as it will lead to low or no profits.
