Observe Hindus perform their spiritual rituals at Har ki Pauri, on the banks of holy Ganges. See how thousands of devotees reach the end of their pilgrimage and bathe themselves in the purifying waters, a symbolic act meant to cleanse the soul. On this famous ghat (series of steps leading to the water), you can also find a large footprint on a stone wall believed to belong to the Lord Vishnu. Besides the mass bathing, many festivities (Kumbha Mela, Ardh Kumbh Mela, Vaisakhi) take place here on a regular basis.. See Har ki Pauri and all Haridwar has to offer by arranging your trip with our Haridwar travel route builder.

  • One of the Best Places in India. Mind gets relax. Heart in God. Water is very much clear. Totally Transparent. Take bath in this mineral rich water and make your body free from many impurities. Easily approachable. Request to everyone please, don't put any type of waste anyhow or in name of worship in river.
  • Good place to view the ganges and also the various religious rituals going on here. This is some what a bit dangerous place as the water flow is very rapid and the water is deep. There a quite a large number of security measures in place but still you need to be careful, if you plan on entering into the river for rituals or recreation. Must see place when visiting Haridwar. Good number of shopping options are also available.
