Chandi Devi Temple, Haridwar

4.3
#4 of 50 in Things to do in Haridwar
Religious Site · Hidden Gem · Tourist Spot
Perched high up on a mountain and visible from far away, Chandi Devi Temple represents one of most ancient temples in India. Highly revered as a place where wishes are granted and blessings dispensed, the shrine is reachable by a 10-minute cable car, though you can also hike if you'd rather skip the line of waiting tourists. The present structure from 1929 may not seem overly visually appealing, but the spot it occupies provides a panoramic view of the area. • Very good hindu religious place. The view is very good for capturing photos. That temple is on peek of the mountain and if you went there you will have two option to go to the mountain first option if you want to take hiking experience than you can go by walking but that is time consuming and second one by trolley system it is fast but if it is crowded than line can to long and you have to too much wait there it can of one or more than one hour first option is free but for second option you have to pay and it can be costly
