Over five centuries old, Queen's Bath remains one of the best-preserved sections of the World Heritage-listed Hampi monuments. Designed as a private bathing area for the king and his royal consorts, this structure probably formed part of a larger leisure complex, where the imperial family rested surrounded by dozens of attendants. A fine example of Indo-Islamic architecture, the rectangular structure features a relatively plain exterior and ornately decorated interior. At the center sits a pool nearly 2 m (6.5 ft) deep, surrounded by elaborate balconies and small windows. Fed by a vast network of canals and aqueducts, this bath once contained fresh water perfumed by thousands of aromatic flowers. • You can pass it if short of time. An average structure. Nothing like other structures in Hampi. Celling is decorated but damaged.

  • Oh boy…. What a luxury and what style… with great engineering planning. Water coming from the nearby reservoir which is filtered and then taken in bath tank. The trenches surrounding the building are for storing the water. After the bath, proper drain conduits are visible to empty the tank. The bath house is very well decorated with stone carving.
  • Queens Bath place is the swimming pool of royals. The bath is surrounded by beautiful arched corridors. The corridors have projecting ornate balconies that provides resting/viewing places. The bath is built in Indo-Islamic style of architecture. It is open to sky structure with a small moat around the bath.
