Singh's death in 1968 has remained the subject of myth and spiritual belief: the official version suggests that he was killed during a skirmish on a mountain pass between Tibet and Sikkim, but others state that he perished in a glacier. Legend has it that he visited one of his colleagues in a dream and asked him to build a shrine here in his memory. The shrine has become a moving tribute and a place of pilgrimage, particularly for service personnel. Really good place to visit ..This place also taken care by Indian Army..other than temple nothing much here. On the way to temple outside scenery some one could enjoy it. This area also low oxygen area. Infant and elderly person need to be careful . Travelling in these areas some people may have nausea or vomiting .

Amazing...Salute to the Indian Soldiers...This place is dedicated to Captain Harbhajan Singh. Beautiful place for visiting with family and friends. One can enjoy the beauty of Himalayas. You can book a taxi from Gangtok or Darjeeling to visit this place. Please make sure you have sufficient time in hand as you need permit from the government to visit this place. Permission can be easily attained with help of valid photo ID card and two passport size photo. Taxi driver can inform you on those formalities. One need not worry.
