  • As we heard that this place was a vitness of the legendary singer and one of the gems of king Akbar. He was Tansen.. as he practices his music here. It's a perfect place to watch out.. Nice architecture as usual.. Mughal architecture at his very best.. Fine work on red stone with delicate drawing..
  • The house with twelve doors Tansen was one of the nine gems of Akbar’s court and was the court musician and singer. He is known to be an unmatched master in the art of Hindustani classical music. Fatehpur Sikri – Tansen’s Baradari gets its name from the fact that it has twelve doors. The building is single storied and rectangular in shape. There are three doorways on each side making it a total of twelve. However, many historians dispute the fact that Tansen actually lived in this house. The major reason behind this dispute is that the size of the house is too small for a nobleman of Tansen’s stature and importance. It has one hall that is oblong in shape and there are no attachments which were the regular norms like a separate room for ladies and a toilets or baths.
