  • Impressive fort with good views of the sea and the buildings in the far distance. Massive with various sub-areas. A must if you are visiting Diu.

  • This one of the well-preserved forts I have visited lately on the Western Coastline. Entry is free and it takes a minimum of 2 hours to complete the entire fort. Very well maintained considering it.....  more

  • The fort itself is not in very good condition & hardly maintains its original look, but the views it offers are spectacular. And It does give you a feel of a different time in the past. You need sneakers or sports shoes to explore the place don't think of sandals due to slopes, climbs, and passes around. Please explore the edges, and huge wall walkways their eyewitness to the sea and sea breeze, in fact, it appears to be an island, and the sea in the background looks magnificent. You can lighthouse and an array of cannons on wall edges. Down at the corner, the washroom is provided, okay kind. At the main gate, you enjoy drinking beverages. There were no entry charges. Historical significance place hence you will see a marble placard with history engraved.
  • The fort, situated along the coast, is an important attraction in Diu. It is a place of historical importance, and showcases how the fort was used as an ammunition depot in the past. It doesn't require any entrance fee or tickets to visit the fort. The fort has a light house on its top, and few weapons from historic period in its premises. St. Paul's Church and Museum are located near this fort. It is nearer to the bus stand, and can be reached easily either by walk or by local means of transportation. After reaching the highest point in the fort, you can see entire Diu city and the coastline. However, do carry your eatables and water bottles while visiting this place. Since there are no eateries available inside the fort premises, and some food stalls can be found besides it's entry gate.
