Climb a sacred hilltop to get a fabulous panorama of Bengaluru Rural District area at Shivagange, an important Hindu pilgrimage spot. Looking like a shiva linga from one of the sides, the hill also has a spring, ganga, whose water is believed to be sacred. A sculpture of the sacred bull Nandi is carved into the hilltop and there are numerous images of Hindu gods along the trek to the top which you will start from a gopuram at the foot. Standing at 1,368 m (4,488 ft), the hilltop provides a number of observation decks to get spectacular views of the area.
