  • Ayyappan Pooja Sangham celebrated its 67th pooja festival. It was grand with a good mix of heritage, culture and bhajans. The highlight was the elephants on th 31st night.

  • Great place to perform functions which is easily accessible by walk itself from GP bus stand
  • This was started in the year 1950 n over the last 70 years it is serving the people well. It is managed by Sri Ayyappa pooja sangam.. It is in the Ramnagar Sathyamurthy Road which is close to Ramar Temple/ Gandhipuram Central busstand. It is managed by a Sangham which they converted as a charitable Trust. Here one can do marriages, all kinds of homams, pujas n in short for all auspicious functions. As it is run by a charitable trust the proceeds goes to community dev expenses like scholarships to deserving students etc etc. So ur money goes to a good cause. It has two mandaps. On entering u will see two temples - left side sri Ayyappan with Ganesha n Muruga n devotees can pray n make pradakshinams also. Opp to it there is a small temple in which Amman is there n a big Easwaran statue is there. Opp to it has its office. On entering u can see the mandap bookings notice board - for both mandaps. If u want u can book two mandaps. CCTV surveillance is also there. In the main hall abt 350/400 persons can sit n has a big dining hall also there. In the other mandap called Mahara Jothi Mandap more than 450/500 persons can sit in Hall 2. Separate AC rooms( very reasonable rate) are there for brides family, grooms family n other family members/ Vips/ close relatives. It has a generator and lift. Photos attached showing the entrance, office notice boards, temples, dining halls, stage, individual rooms etc. The Centre runs a monthly magazine called " Saranamvili" and you can register bride/ grooms details n it will be published. Please see the photo in this connection for further details. In the main hall, the bath rooms, toilets etc are available on the backside of the hall n u have to go thro cooking area. It is very less considering the size of the hall. I personally feel the fire extinguishers fixed are relatively less n inadequate. As an Admin man, I strongly feels this. The covered car parking space is less and about a dozen cars can be parked inside in addition to 2 wheelers. See the photos attached for 2/4 wheeler parking space. A very lucky n blessed mandap indeed.
