Displays about Swami Vivekananda are just part of the appeal of Vivekananda House, a semicircular building built in the 1840s to store ice. The famed "Wandering Monk" stayed here in 1897, preaching to big crowds. Today, a photo exhibit narrates the swami's life--his room is used for meditation. • Vivekananda House is a prominent landmark in front of Marina Beach. The place was abuzz with activity, on the occasion of International Yoga Day.

  • Blissful Peaceful introspect reflection rumination self-examination concentration deep thought ponder quiet time I’ve crossed this place probably over 500 times, today My quest to acquire Meditation drew me into this venue. Ice House history is astonishing Using technology to explain S. Vivekananda and his view is much appreciated and will go a long way in spreading his wisdom, where every human should read. VR was awesome A must visit place
  • Historical place in Chennai on the Marina Beach road. Even on a weekend it's empty. Most people are on the beach. Local people don't usually visit this place. I only saw tourists out of Chennai visiting. There's neat and clean toilets available. Drinking water available. Parking space for around 10 cars. Enough bike parking is also available. There's a book store too. Small educational museum. Normal entry is around 30₹. If you want to see the 4D show you will pay a bit more. 🛕🛕🛕🛕🛕
