Create an itinerary including Parthasarathy Temple
One of the oldest places of worship in the city, Parthasarathy Temple features intricate architecture that makes it one of the area's top attractions. Dating from the 8th century, the temple pays tribute to the Hindu god Krishna. The distinctive pyramid-like appearance is complemented with detailed carvings and colonnades, constructed during later, 16th-century add-on projects. Inside, you'll find five shrines, each dedicated to one of Lord Vishnu's forms. The temple regularly hosts festivals, prayers, and events, many of which have been held here for centuries. • Calm and divine feel as expected in any well maintained south Indian temple with long history. Car Parking facility and space is scarce here. But, one can use nearby Marina beach paid parking facility and walk over to this temple. usually I prefer to do this way.
