An Historical Gurdwara Sahib,Chail [Estd.1907] .This was constructed by Maharaja Bhupinder Singh of Patiala. Nowadays Govt of Himachal Pradesh had taken its charge.It was the summer capital of Maharaja of Patiala. On the formation of Himachal Pradesh in1966 its Administration came under Himachal Pradesh Govt. Nowadays Giani Pritpal Singh Ji is the incharge of Gurdwara Sahib, Chail.He is the sole caretaker & Sewadar He also performs the duty of Granthi Singh as well Gardner,Watchman, Sweeper etc.. THERE IS NO PRABANDHAK COMITTEE IN GURDWARA SAHIB,CHAIL. Neither any sikh sangat.He is alone responsible HP Govt Employee working in Gurdwara Sahib. People call it an 'Heaven Place'.It is true so must visit to get blessings.

Built in 1907 by them maharaja patiala...the royal family of Punjab. Gurudwara sahib was visited and maintained by the royal family. Was not on tourist map for many years....but in last 2 decades...

The Chail Gurudwara is a Sikh temple which was established at Chail in 1907. It was constructed by Maharaja Bhupinder Singh of Patiala. After partition of Punjab, the building was taken over by the government of Himachal Pradesh. Since then, the Department of Art & Culture started looking after the Gurudwara affairs. Chail Heritage Foundation, an NGO formed by ex-students of Chail Military School, took up the challenge and started renovating the building. The first phase of the renovation was completed before the centenary and the refurbished Gurudwara was inaugurated on Guru Nanak Devji's Gurupurab in 2007. The original architecture of the building that resembles a church has been preserved. Gurudwara is approximately 200 meters from the main Chail bus station. It can be reached by a steep road (gradient 35 degrees) from the Chail post office.
