The blackened stone walls of Cabo de Rama Fort reveal the long history behind the clifftop fortress. Now a tourist spot for nice views and a window to the past, the fort served as a strategic defensive outpost in pre-colonial and colonial times. The fort's western side offers sweeping views of the northern and southern coasts and nearby beaches, serving as a great spot to watch the sunset. See old cannons and wells, and explore the fort's hidden rooms. Don't miss one of the highlights, the lovely white church, frequently visited by devotees. You can guide yourself around the fort, but you'll find little signposted information. I felt that this fort is quite under rated. We loved this fort though initially my kids were wondering whether they will like this place or not. You can sit here for a while and enjoy the wonderful...

Must visit place with one of the most beautiful views in Goa. The sunset here was one of the best with peaceful surroundings. This is a cliff beach and you get a panoramic view of the sea amidst the coconut trees. We did not go to the fort here since the view is what everyone comes for over here. There's ample parking space. This is located farther down in South Goa so reaching here would take time if you are staying in the North or even other places in the South. There is a restaurant here called the Cape Goa and a small shop where you can grab tea or beer. You can also sit and admire the view from the cliff. There are also 2 photo spots for all the enthusiasts with an arch facing the sea.

For the distance it requires to travel to this location, and the condition of the fort, it is worth visiting only for a feel-good experience. The fort doesn't hold any historically significant exhibits. The walls are standing and inside the fort there is thick forest and a standalone church. There is access to pebble Beach through the fort. The pebble Beach is a small place and doesn't have enough room to explore. One can go there to just sit and feel an experience of uniqueness, as a Beach. The stairs access is an effort, to climb up and down and wouldn't recommend for elders and children. At the top(the fort) there are 3 spectacular view points.
