One of the city's major landmarks, Bull Temple pays tribute to Nandi, the faithful attendant of the Hindu deity Shiva. Constructed during the 16th century, the temple features the iconic pyramidal architecture found commonly in historic sites across India, with added ornamental carvings of figures and deities. According to local legend, the temple originally came about as an attempt to appease a wild bull that wrought havoc on the area's crops. The temple's standout feature is a statue of Nandi, a 4.5 m (15 ft) tall figure carved out of a single piece of solid granite and surrounded by idols that depict other gods riding chariots. You will feel a different positive vibe after you visit this place. The huge statue of Nandi has been well preserved and truly a sacred place to visit. Beside the big bull temple, there's also a Ganesha temple, where the ones who visit the Bull temple do visit and offer their prayers to Lord Ganesha. Also, when we visited this place there were hawkers lined up outside the temple with good small statues and different show pieces for decorating our houses. Moreover, there was one man selling Coconut water, he had some really big coconuts with lots and lots of water in it. It felt refreshing after visiting both the temples and having the Coconut water.❤️
