Admire the private collection of Nicholas and Dolly Goulandris at Museum of Cycladic Art, housed inside a neoclassical mansion. The collection of Cycladic art (works from an ancient civilization that once existed on Aegean Islands) includes pottery, ceramics, art, sculpture, and jewelry. The one-of-a-kind galleries, once the private rooms of the Goulandris, are accessible throughout the year and a popular stop on a tour of Athens. Visit the museum's website to learn about temporary exhibits. Plan my trip to Athens with suggested itineraries provided by Inspirock.

  • Fantastic museum full of history and inspiration. I admit this place was not only particularly interesting with a delightful temporary exhibit on Picasso, but perfect to survive the hot summer midday in Athens! Also the people were very kind and helpful.
  • Permanent collection is so so - you can experience similar even better Cycladic art in National Museum. But, the Picasso and Antiquity temporary exhibition, WOW!! Highly recommended. And a nice cafe and museum bookshop.
