  • Just a few minutes uphill walk from the famous old bridge on Main river , this castle is a must see. To reach at the foot hill of castle is easy and then you must walk further uphill for 1-1.2 km...

  • Always enjoy a hilltop fort or castle that overlooks a river and town and this is a grand one. Well worth visiting Wurzburg for.

  • A really impressive fortress towering over Würzburg, it offers some of the best views of the city and it was completely for free, the whole exterior can be walked around and enjoyed free of charge which is really good for tourists to explore the city and around the impressive building. Would recommend visiting, it’s definitely worth the walk up!
  • This place is a beautiful place to go to, and a must for anyone visiting Würzburg or is nearby the area. Climbing up to the castle is about a mile walk, and depending on which way you go, it can be a shorter steeper way, or about a mile less steep way. As you get higher up, the view gets better and better of Würzburg. Once you reach the top, you can explore the castle before going to the side a viewing the view. Must take photos along the way. Going at night is even more breathtaking, where the main building of Würzburg are lit up, and pop out of the city.
