Our river cruise stopped in Volkach. We decided to ride bikes to this overlook. It was a nice paved trail to the overlook with beautiful views along the way. Even though I couldn't read the German.... more

Nice vantage point over the southern part of the Main loop. The parking lot right next door can be a good starting point for a hike. There is also something explained here for wine lovers (but it is not my area of interest).

A beautiful vantage point and starting point to learn more about Franconian wine. The vines are in the premium locations of Franconia and the view of Nordheim, Eschendorf, Kohler and the wine island is fantastic. I love coming here.
