Create an itinerary including Karl Marx House
Opened in 1947, Karl Marx House not only tells about the life and writings of the man, but also presents a history of communism and socialism. Explore the place where Karl Marx was born in 1818 and spent his formative years, and see some of his earliest communist writings. Though only a few original objects remain, a series of informative panels paint a good picture of his life and his influence. A free audio tour is also available in multiple languages. • It's a little museum. It costs 5€, which is about right. This is a really basic overview of Karl Marx and his thought. The house is nice to walk through. Most of the displays reminded me of a kids school project. I enjoyed the museum, I gave it ⭐⭐⭐ because I don't want to over-hype it. My favorite parts were Karl's chair from his time in London and the statue in the garden. It would have been nice to see more artifacts from Marx's life, maybe they are hard to come by.
  • Great place. We spent there around two hours,We were delighted with the idea of the marketers who created the exposition about Karl Marx almost without his things in a very creative way. Bravo!
