Open to the public since 1918, Palace Square is one of the largest plazas in Stuttgart. A former military parade ground, the tree-lined square hosts part of Koningstrasse, the city's main shopping street. The fountain and Jubilee Column are striking features. The palace complex houses the Wurttemburg Museum and Baden-Wurttemburg government ministries. Wander among the plaza's lawns and flowerbeds, which offer plenty of places to rest. The square and its buildings suffered extensive damage during World War II. Huge restoration projects since have been bringing it back to its former glory. • Easy to get to from any station. Lots to see and do. Shopping and restaurants nearby. Pay toilet is here so bring coins. It's very crowded but the park is large and handles it well.

  • Impressive clean plaza... so many performers around brings the good vibes to everyone. Here you can feel the history of the town, how old buildings are still the same is something amazing.
  • Located quite near to the Hauptbahnhof, this is definitely one of those places you cannot miss. There's a huge park nearby where people come just to hang out and chill. The architecture and the way the place was laid out is surely a sight to behold.
