Create an itinerary including Markthalle
A center for trade and commerce as far back as the 13th century, Stuttgart built its first market hall on this square in 1450--however, Markthalle as you see it today was built in the Art Nouveau style and inaugurated in 1914. Inside the market, you can overwhelm your senses as you pass the stands offering vibrant fresh fruits and vegetables, an aromatic abundance of herbs and spices, flowers, fish, meat, cheese, and more. Local and international items alike make up this market, including many organic and eco-friendly products. Enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants in the hall, or pick out your own items for a picnic. • It was an enjoyable experience to stroll the shops and all the beautiful things for sale and the delicious food offerings. The prices in most of the shops are high but you pay for the experience...

  • It is an interesting place worth visiting. Located in the city center of Stuttgart it is a historical, touristic and of course commercial destination for locals and foreigners. I only passed by as a tourist out of curiosity, but I tasted some excellent pastries. I liked the place and I recommend that you go at least to see it if you refrain from shopping, although it is hard not to buy at least something. In the premises there is also a restaurant at a height from where you can see the panorama of the entire hall.
  • Nice fancy market hall in Stuttgart that is two story. Nice items to see and you can get some good food but not much to eat there. A little pricy for some items but a must see if you are in the area.
