Create an itinerary including St. Michael
Standing tall above the center of Schwabisch Hall, St. Michael houses carvings that exemplify the ingeniousness of Medieval German craftsmanship. You can reach the church via the main cobbled road, which leads directly to the entrance. On nice afternoons you may even see a theater troupe performing on the chapel steps, or step inside to perhaps catch a private concert on the pipe organ. Be sure to include the church crypt in your tour. You'll get a glimpse of the church's darker history when you see the neatly stacked pile of bones stored in a glass case. • One of our all time favorite Christmas Markets at the foot of St Michael’s stairs, you feel as if you have gone back in time to a lovely old winter Forrest, filled with beautiful gifts, hot mulled...

  • St. Michael's...wow! What a beautiful church, inside and out. Make sure to climb the tower for amazing views of Schwabish Hall! They have live theatrical plays on the steps during Summer which is awesome. Great cultural learning.
  • Besides being a historical building with the greatest architecture, the staircase outside is used by the town as a stage for plays. Away from home and wanting to serve God with fellow worshippers, it was the most amazing sermon I have attended.
