Deutsch-Franzosischer Garten is part of a gardening tradition dating back to the mid-16th century, and was extensively redesigned in collaboration between France and Germany after being used as a battlefield in World War II. It's viewed as an important part of postwar heritage and a symbol of friendship between the two countries. You'll find shaded paths meandering through fragrant heather gardens, and a German millpond where you can cruise in paddleboats, as colorful peacocks wander the grounds. Ride the cable car for aerial views of the verdant 1950s'-style park, or take the mini train that runs through it. Then enjoy a game on the mini-golf course. Pick up a freshly baked pretzel at one of the kiosks on the north end, or stop at one of the cafes inside in the park for delicious German-French fusion cuisine. Large nice park, partially green, beautiful lake, benches. Sometimes too many people. Funny bold ducks and geese. Good place to walk, run. Normal for picnics, but actually no particular infrastructure for such a large lication.

It's amazing place to hang out for almost a day. One can walk/ cycle around the small hill or small lake. Boating option is also there with some fees..good play area for kids..overall complete package for family fun..
