Experience the match-day atmosphere at Allianz Arena, a soccer stadium widely known for its facade of inflated plastic panels. The stadium, which holds nearly 70,000 spectators, was the first venue of its kind in the world to feature a full color-changing exterior. The country's third-largest arena, it's home to two professional clubs, FC Bayern Munchen and TSV 1860 Munchen. Check online for available arena tours, which give you a rare behind-the-scenes look at the stadium's locker rooms, players' tunnel, and the coaches' dugout. This modern venue, completed in 2005, features several fan shops and restaurants. Parking is available at Europe's largest parking structure, which has four four-story garages with nearly 10,000 parking places. • They only sell alcohol free beer. Not sure if there only certain spots inside the stadium where not al beer can be purchased from, or maybe only some events have alcohol free beer but a bit disappointed I could enjoy a nice cold German beer at the stadium. One issue I had during my last visit, went to see Germany v England and took my 80 yo mother, one in a lifetime experience we thought, as she was visiting from overseas. Not many tickets available except for in the top level. When we arrived then I realized I had to make her walk all the way up the stairs. I though my old lady was going to pass out walking all the way up. Took us about 10 min with all the breaks. Are there meant to be special tickets or seats for the elderly and disabled at the ground floor? Otherwise, buying food and drinks was relatively easy. You can use any type of card at any of the food and drinks spots. Very convenient. Note not all stadiums work like that in Germany.
  • I am not a big football fan so I was not expecting anything, but the tour was really really interesting and fun. The guide was very talkative, fun and informative. We visited so many places and could enjoy the places you don't normally see. Tour totally recommended!
