Ludwigslust Palace (German: Schloss Ludwigslust) is a stately home or schloss in the town of Ludwigslust, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, northern Germany. It was built as a hunting lodge, rebuilt as a luxurious retreat from the ducal capital, Schwerin, then became for a time (1765–1837) the center of government. It was the "joy" of Prince Christian Ludwig, the heir of the Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, hence the name Ludwigslust.

Amazing castle! Museum inside was surprisingly good with multilateral expositions including arts, clocks, statues, furniture pieces and many other lots worth time to investigate.

Absolutely gorgeous castle in the middle of nowhere! It has an endless park you can spend pretty much the whole day walking around. The castle itself was marvellous but sadly due to reconstruction we could only access the half the second floor. Ask for the guided tour! It's worth every penny! Even if you don't speak German you get to access certain areas of the park you wouldn't otherwise
