Lion Temple Simhachalam, Jandelsbrunn

Strongly recommend this place! It is also ideal for a overnight stay! The Temple is located in beautiful area and part of a huge farmland! The food is prepared with lot of love . The staff is excellent too and we just needed to tell them over the phone of our visiting plans - especially if you plan to have food there.

CALL to inform if you are visiting for lunch - this helps them stay well prepared as they do not like to send anyone unhappy! We did this and it was very helpful. It's a wonderful, well maintained Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Narasimha. Its run by German Krishna devotees and that was especially great to see because everything about this place - the interiors, the sanctum sanctorum, the diety, the ambience, the food... felt like I was in India again. It is surrounded by the peaceful forests of Bavaria - you can even go for a small walk/hike to spend the rest of your time. Easily accessible by private vehicle, while driving up to the entrance you will see a small farm with big healthy cows. Limired parking is available at the premise. The lunch was very delicious and authentic. They also have some books on the religion and philosophy that you can take- there is a recommended donation amount list. They have a temperature controlled room growing Tulsi plants - this is also so well maintained. Washrooms are available in the place. We were also treated to a fresh creamy fruit cake to celebrate the birthday of one of the members there.
