  • For British readers, the best way to describe this is as a huge farm park, rather than a "zoo". The place is absolutely massive. We came across here by accident, as Sleeping Beauty's Castle is next....  more

  • Beautiful zoo, they really boosted their enclosure as much as their natural habitat!! Some had huge space in their enclosure that made you walk a lot because of the grass fields. Hoped to see wild horses but only from a far which was disappointing. Loved the wolfpigs they're huge and super lazy. Sadly due covid-19 no feeding animals live. That would be a moment to see the wildlife animals up close but unfortunately not. On a brighter side the bird show did happen. Got some shots of it and love how expert they be with their animals and birds too. Nonetheless super interesting zoo especially for kids. there's a kid section.
  • This is a very large zoo, with big animal enclosures. It's not a traditional zoo as they don't have a large amount of animals and certainly not the traditional ones you'd expect (like lions, elephants, giraffes). They have animals more suited to the European climate like penguins, seals, deer, boar, raccoons, lynx, mountain goats, kangaroos etc. The park itself is part of the ancient forest of Sababurg, so one can also see hundreds-year old oak trees. It also offers nice views of sleeping beauty's castle Sababurg
