One of the best island I have been to in a lake. The palace is just like the Palace in Versailles but It’s good to have it in Bavaria too.

You can enter this museum with your ticket of the 'Schloßführung' (9 €, children are free). Walking through the exhibition rooms you get various impressions of many topics that have moved the king during his short life. May be, one can empathize with some traits of the intellectual and emotional world of this partly anthropophobic and quixotic individual.
