Create an itinerary including International Maritime Museum
International Maritime Museum reveals the history and future of shipping with a collection of artifacts, model ships, and maritime art. Look for a 3,000-year-old dugout found in the Elbe River. Don't miss the reproduction of Sir Ernest Shackleton's lifeboat from his trans-Antarctic expedition. The replica was used in 2000 by the German explorer Arved Fuchs when he retraced the route. Captain your own ship on a simulator. An audio guide is available for an additional fee. • We spent 5 hours in this museum and felt like we need one more day. Has lot of pieces displayed, lot of history to learn and very beautiful rooms. You should definitely visit International Maritime Museum from Hamburg. Better start in the morning so you will get to see all its beautiful ships and exposure.
  • A detailed museum covering the nautical history of Hamburg and the United German states. Particularly recommended for those interested in the subject matter, but still plenty to see for those new to the topic. Concise and with information in English. The museum is quite large and worth the price of admission. Can get discounts through the hamburg card
